Domus Romana
Domus Romana is the ideal cultural place where visitors, families, groups, and school groups can live unique experiences and entertain cultural and social gatherings.
It is one of the most significant sites in Lucca’s history: it preserves and exhibits archaeological ruins and historical evidence of more than 2200 years of the city’s history.
Museum activities are regulated by agreement with the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage of Lucca. With a Ministerial Decree the Domus has been recognized as a State Cultural Heritage site, and the Tuscan Region awarded it the title of Museum of Regional Relevance in 2015.
In accordance with Digs 42/2004, the museum carries out social functions, as well as educational activities for schools and for the promotion of the territory.
