Accompanied by a local guide, you will tour the historic center of Lucca. Next you will climb to the top of the Guinigi Tower. The tower is part of an imposing construction commissioned by the Guinigi family, wealthy and powerful merchants of Lucca in the 14th century, now the only remaining evidence of over 250 towers that enriched the city in medieval times. It is 44.25 meters high, and the top is a roof garden where large, now centuries-old holm oaks have been planted. The view from that height is particularly impressive; in addition to the Old Town, you can see the hills of Lucca in the distance.

Finally, you'll have some free time to independently visit the more than 50 stands of the Christmas market (open Friday through Sunday and on holidays, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.), the traditional Nativity scenes and the exhibitions inside the basement of the city Walls.
